Why Wattana Timeworks
What sets this workshop apart
Honest assessments
Every watch begins with a no-pressure evaluation. We share what we find and outline options — you decide whether to proceed, without obligation.
Respectful of originality
We understand that patina and age are part of a watch's story. Cosmetic work is only carried out with the owner's clear preference guiding every step.
Transparent pricing
Costs are agreed before any work begins. There are no surprise charges, and any additional findings are reported without pressure to spend more.
Experienced hands
More than eighteen years working on mechanical and vintage timepieces. Familiar with a wide range of movements, from common calibres to rarer antique works.
Open communication
Questions at any stage are welcome. We keep owners informed at each step and are happy to explain technical details in plain, unhurried language.
Service warranty
Maintenance and servicing work carries a warranty period. If something does not perform as expected, we attend to it promptly and without additional charge.
A gentle first step
Is there a watch that deserves a little attention?
Send us a note or call to describe the piece. We are happy to talk through the options without any obligation, and to arrange a convenient time for you to bring it in.
Questions & answers
Things people often ask
How do I know if my watch needs servicing?
Most mechanical watches benefit from a service every four to seven years, even when running. Signs that attention may be due include a watch that runs noticeably fast or slow, one that stops unpredictably, or one that has not been serviced in a long while. Bring it in and we will have a look and share what we find, at no charge for the initial look.
How long does a service typically take?
A standard maintenance service is usually completed within one to two weeks, depending on parts availability and current workshop schedule. Cosmetic refresh work follows a similar timeline. Full heirloom restoration is a longer undertaking — we provide an honest estimate of time when we prepare the written plan at the start.
Will you change the appearance of my watch without asking me?
Never. Cosmetic work is only carried out with explicit agreement. Many collectors prefer to preserve an aged look, and we respect that entirely. We discuss what you want before any polishing, cleaning, or part replacement takes place.
My watch was my grandmother's. Is restoration a sensible option?
It can be — and we approach inherited pieces with particular care. Our heirloom restoration service begins with an honest, unhurried assessment. We will explain what is needed, outline the cost, and leave the decision entirely with you. There is no pressure to proceed.
Do you work on quartz watches as well as mechanical ones?
Our main focus is mechanical and vintage movements, where the craft of watchmaking is most relevant. For quartz battery replacements and basic quartz servicing, we are happy to help where we can — please contact us to discuss your specific watch.
What does the service warranty cover?
The service warranty applies to the work performed: if a watch does not run as expected after a maintenance service, we attend to it without additional charge within the warranty period. It does not cover accidental damage or issues unrelated to the serviced components. We are always happy to clarify what is included.
