Terms & Conditions
These terms set out the basis on which Wattana Timeworks provides watch repair, servicing, and restoration work. We aim to keep things clear and straightforward so you know exactly where you stand.
Last updated: 1 May 2025
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by Wattana Timeworks, located at 78 Thanon Phetkasem, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110, Thailand, and to use of our website at wattanat.live. By leaving a watch with us or submitting an enquiry through this website, you accept these terms.
If you have any questions about these terms before proceeding, please contact us before leaving your watch with us. We are happy to discuss anything that is unclear.
2. Assessments and quotations
Before any work begins, we carry out an initial assessment of the watch. This assessment allows us to understand the condition of the timepiece and to provide you with a written description of the work we recommend, together with an estimated cost.
- An initial assessment carries no obligation. You are free to take your watch back without charge if you decide not to proceed.
- We will not begin any work without first sharing our assessment findings and receiving your agreement to proceed.
- Where the scope of work becomes clearer only once the movement is opened, we will contact you with any revised estimate before continuing.
- Quoted prices are estimates. A final price will be agreed before work is completed, and no additional charges will be made without your knowledge and consent.
3. Agreeing to work
Work proceeds only when you have given your agreement — either in person, by telephone, or by email. Your agreement confirms that:
- You are the owner of the watch, or have the authorisation of the owner to commission work on it.
- You have read and accept these terms.
- You understand the estimated cost and agree to pay the final agreed amount upon completion.
4. Turnaround time
We work at the pace that careful, attentive craftsmanship requires. Estimated completion times are shared at the time of assessment and are given in good faith. Timelines may be affected by the availability of specialist parts, the complexity of the work, or the condition of the watch as revealed during work. We will keep you informed if any significant delay arises.
We do not offer a fixed turnaround commitment for restoration work on heirloom or collectible pieces. Quality and care take the time they require.
5. Pricing and payment
Our standard service prices are listed on our website as guidance. The actual price for your watch will be set at the time of assessment and confirmed in writing before work begins. Factors that may affect the final price include the condition of the movement, the need for replacement parts, and the extent of restoration work agreed.
- Payment is due upon collection of the watch, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in advance.
- We accept payment by cash or bank transfer. Please confirm available payment methods at the time of assessment.
- Where specialist parts must be ordered, we may ask for a partial payment in advance to cover the cost of those parts.
6. Service warranty
Maintenance and servicing work carries a service warranty covering the work carried out, for a period agreed at the time of the service. This warranty applies to the quality of our workmanship and the parts we supply. It does not cover damage caused by subsequent misuse, accidental damage, moisture ingress beyond the watch's original rating, or work carried out by a third party after our service.
For restoration work, we discuss any applicable warranty on a case-by-case basis, given the individual nature of each project.
7. Care of your watch
We handle every watch entrusted to us with the same care we would give our own. While a watch is in our workshop:
- It will be kept in a secure location when not being worked on.
- It will not be shown to third parties without your permission.
- We will take reasonable precautions against accidental damage, theft, fire, and flooding. However, we recommend that valuable timepieces remain covered by your own insurance while in our care, as our liability for loss or damage is limited to the agreed service price.
8. Uncollected watches
We ask that watches are collected within 60 days of notification that work is complete. If a watch is not collected within this period, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you. Watches left uncollected for more than six months after completion, where all reasonable contact attempts have been exhausted, may be disposed of or auctioned at the minimum value necessary to recover our outstanding costs. We will notify you in writing before taking any such step.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any work carried out or advice given shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant service. We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or special loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version on this page applies to any work agreed after the date shown at the top. For work already in progress, the terms agreed at the time of your order continue to apply.
