Six things that matter when choosing a watchmaker
No-obligation assessment
You can bring in a watch to learn what it needs and what it would cost, with no commitment to proceed. We share what we find plainly and leave the decision with you.
Eighteen years of experience
The workshop is led by a watchmaker trained in Chiang Mai and Switzerland. Complex heirloom restorations are assessed and overseen personally by Wattana Srisombat.
Agreed costs, nothing added
The price discussed at assessment is the price you pay. If anything unexpected is found during work, we notify you first. There are no surprise additions on the final invoice.
Original character preserved
Patina, aged dials, and original parts are respected and kept unless you ask for something different. We will never polish or replace parts simply because it would look tidier.
Service warranty included
All maintenance and servicing work carries a warranty. If the watch does not perform as expected after service, we attend to it without additional charge within the warranty term.
Plain-language updates
We keep owners informed at each stage and explain technical findings in straightforward language. Questions are always welcome — before, during, and after work is completed.
Years spent learning one craft well
Mechanical watchmaking is not a trade that can be compressed into a short course. The adjustments involved — the tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre, the feel of an escapement properly set — come from years of attentive practice under experienced guidance.
Wattana Srisombat trained formally in Chiang Mai before spending time in Switzerland, the centre of the global watchmaking tradition. On returning to Thailand, he established this workshop with the intention of bringing that level of care to owners in the south of the country.
- Formal training in mechanical watchmaking
- Over eighteen years of hands-on workshop experience
- Experience with a wide range of movements, from common calibres to antique works
- Ability to hand-make replacement parts where spares are unavailable
- Understanding of both the technical and sentimental value of heirloom pieces
- Professional timing machine used to verify rate after every service
- Purpose-built ultrasonic cleaning equipment for movement parts
- Specialist lubricants matched to each movement's design requirements
- Magnification tools and watchmaker's loupe for detailed inspection
- Secure, individually labelled storage for every watch in the workshop
The right equipment, used correctly
Good intentions are not enough without the proper tools. The workshop is equipped with professional-grade instruments used in watchmaking worldwide — not because they look impressive, but because they produce results that cannot be achieved any other way.
Every service ends with a verified timing test across multiple positions. We do not return a watch until we are satisfied it is performing as it should.
Transparent pricing — no surprises
Each service has a clear starting price. Before any work begins, you receive a written summary of what is included and what it will cost. Parts, if needed, are discussed and agreed separately — always in advance.
There is no pressure to proceed after an assessment. If the cost or scope does not suit your circumstances, we say so plainly and return the watch without charge.
Pricing overview
All prices are fixed starting figures. Parts, if required, are agreed separately before any work begins.

What sets us apart
Distinctive things about this workshop
Hand-fabricated replacement parts
When a genuine spare does not exist, we can make one. This capability is uncommon and particularly relevant for antique or rare movements where commercial parts have not been manufactured for decades.
Written restoration plans
For heirloom restoration work, every project begins with a written plan outlining the scope, method, and rationale. This plan belongs to the owner and forms the basis of the agreed work.
Unhurried timeframes
We do not commit to turnarounds that compromise quality. When complex work requires more time, we say so clearly and provide realistic timeframes rather than rushing to meet an arbitrary deadline.
Southern Thailand's dedicated watchmaker
There are very few workshops in Thailand combining this level of experience with genuine heirloom restoration capability. Customers travel from across the country because the alternative is sending a treasured watch abroad.
